Sixty percent of the world’s population lives in Asia. Additional millions of Asians live in other parts of the world — and Asia is home to the world’s oldest modern civilizations, some of its richest cultures, and some of its most dynamic societies. 

From our location in 西雅图 on the Pacific Rim, students and faculty at SPU learn about and encounter Asia because this is central to our mission of understanding and engaging our multicultural and complex world.

• A minimum of 54 credits are required for this major, including 23 upper-division credits.

应用 to the major or minor 

亚洲研究 accepts applications to the major and minor year-round. To qualify for admission to the major or minor, you must have met these requirements:

• Have completed at least 5 credits in 亚洲研究 coursework at SPU.
• GPA不低于2分.5 in all 亚洲研究 coursework.
• 提交 online Major or Minor Application.
• Complete the major or minor requirements in effect at the time you are admitted to the major or minor.
